Cherie Lunghi - too old?
Cherie Lunghi - too old?
Apparently one of the judges on "Strictly Come Dancing" has suggested that Cherie Lunghi is too old and sghould be the first person off the show!
Any comments?
(I apologise to Mrs Wild Duck if I am exciting his blood pressure again)

Well, I'm not sure how old she is, but I think that she looks fabulous!
And she can't be much older - if at all - than Gillian Taylforth?
And - warming to my subject - surely John Sargeant is older than Phil Daniels?
There's a week devoted to 'age', in a positive way, on Radio 2 at the moment. One of those featured is a woman gymnast, in her mid-seventies, who still competes!

Ageism
It was the ancient judge Len Goodman (who didn't start dancing till late on in life himself...) who said that at 56, Cherie Lunghi was too old.
What a load of old nadgers.
If you've got it, flaunt it. You get better tunes off an old fiddle (mind you, it depends on whose G-string you are plucking...!)

You can, but having had a wonder through town on Saturday I can safely say some fiddles aren't worth playing.

Yes, the eyes can deceive! You may not appreciate the look, but they can all play a tune.
