A friend and I are wondering about doing a short tour with Groningen and/or Leeuwarden as bases, but for various reasons we are considering driving there. Does anybody have tips for places (e.g. B&Bs with plenty of outdoor space) that wouldn't mind us leaving a car parked with them for several days while we cycled? Am interested in any tips for in or around Groningen, Leeuwarden, surrounding areas.
I am a member of Vrienden op de Fiets and will make enquiries with hosts there, but it's not really kosher to rock up in a car to Vrienden hosts, so am trying to investigate other options as well.

In the Netherland I have used the park and ride outside town without problem - I have also used larger shopping centers and that has been fine too.

Thank you. Good to know it’s fine to do this at park and ride places.

If you want something that might offer a little more security, you could consider the long term car park at Groningen airport.
