Anyone been over yet this year?

Would like to know condition of the track as hoping to do it in a couple of weeks time.

Joe, thanks very much for that link.
It made fascinating reading and will cerainly put in perspective our measly task of just getting ourselves and steeds over the top!

I tried a message/request on a 4WD site as they use the Wayfarers a lot.
The only reply was that it hasn't really changed much in the last few years from a cyclist point of view.
There has been some work done in places and TRO's whilst that was done so it shouldn't be too bad.

During the 90s 4wd and trail bikes shredded the route and often left oil.

I was tempted to put short pieces of wood with 2 in nails in all the ruts

I'm hoping it can't be worse than the churned up (northern) section of Monk's Trod, that I encountered a couple of years ago.
And I'm afraid ICFTLOM think what TRO is... :?

Finally got a post back from some one I know.
He reckons its ok for road tyres.
