I wish I had a dirt road that close to my place! I have to drive quite a while to get to any good trails.

And that is just one, that goes 15 miles then we have a forest 1/2 a mile away that does 20 miles

Fortunate indeed.

Round here, in middle England, most of the bits like that only go a few miles each, so its a case of linking them with road sections and field-margin bridleways, the latter being a rather bumpy, and at this time of year exceedingly muddy, pursuit.

My type of terrain, but far better explored on foot. The only reason I switched to cycling was that I couldn't walk any more.
