Re: The sun is out
That looks promising, after all the recent rain.
Re: The sun is out
See them temperatures? Black ice a possibility, as well as frosted leaf-slime in the shadows that the sun never sees in winter. Studded tyres OUT AND ON. (Shouting just so you notice).

About time.
The last time I went out was December 16th with gales and rain ever since.
Agree with Cudgels warning, look out for frost or ice.

Re: The sun is out
I’ve not ridden since 23rd December, so looking forward to getting out, but around here there are lots of flooded roads after today’s rain.

Re: The sun is out
Yes some sunshine at last, meant a trip to Tissington trail for us for a change.... less chance of encountering flooded roads and thick boggy / muddy tracks. Saw a hunting Barn Owl as I was returning to the van.
But back to turbo this weekend.... a it was drizzly and yeuk on Friday but chance to start the Tour de Zwift... which gives me some motivation for the poor weather indoor training.... and now it's icy out so back on the trainer today for the Chris Hoy Doddie Aid ride...
With OH awaiitng a knee op we don't need both of us out of action ...... so a fall on ice is not worth the risk

Re: The sun is out
Just got back from a glorious ride to the south coast on one of my favourite routes.
Sun, light winds, quiet lanes and great company.
An unbeatable combination

Re: The sun is out
The sun has set here now. Not even noon.

Nearby village - Latchley - the sun never rises in the winter.
Note the contours.

The snow is out
went over to near a friends this afternoon to claim a fallen tree with the chainsaw in pannier, and partways over there was a few flakes. After cutting one small bit of birch that was resting on another tree so had already dried (get in), more flakes had started blowing. It's only 3 miles back across town and a half mile walk from the fallen tree area of friends house so not that much effort and dried birch weighs hardly anything.
Just hoping the snow stays off to have a crack at the big tree tomorrow and the extra psi in the tyres isn't all for nought
When is the next sunny/heatwave day, March?
