Thanks for the link to that thread - v interesting. A shame the open Nidd didn't work out for you in the end. I hadn't heard of the Berthoud - I'll have a look online for those.

It's a big investment and best deferred until you are sure that it's the right width for you and less expensive saddles don't work.

Thanks. Definitely an 'investment' item alright...one for further down the line if at all. They look great, though.

Selle Italia seem to do a facility called 'idmatch' which might help; I have not used them, as I have been lucky enough to know what saddle works for me, but it might be worth a try?
