Bury Clarion rule! (TdF spoiler)

Post by Mike Sales »

Twins Adam and Simon Yates first and second in first stage of the Tour. Adam wears yellow.

I see that a Yates was an original member, in1901, and both twins have held the club 10 mile TT record.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

What a crazy first stage.
Obviously pleased for the Yates bros.
A bit surprised that a few of the normal classics suspects (WvA,Mvdp and TP) were missing in action.
Looking forward to a bit of sofa based entertainment for the next 3 weeks.

And posts like this is why this forum can't be visited if you don't want the race spoiled before you watch the recording.

Good start to the race but the fast finishers are keeping their powder dry for Monday and Tuesday. WvA probably being told to stay for Jonas just in case. Pidcock maybe hoping for a GC shot if he has some luck early on.

Hi,
It Does Say (Spoilers) !

I wonder if Simon let him win?
But I likes the result and both brothers in first and second place.
I think that any G tour stage win is so coveted that Simon would not of simply let Adam win.................we will never know..........

I don't think Bury Clarion - still in the title - leaves much scope for speculation. Although that level of success tends to attract the national media, even if many are hoping the race will be affected by serious public disorder to create a story

And yet a completely pointless change!

Anyone following the sport will know who the "Bury Clarion" riders are, so it's hardly a tricky puzzle.

PLEASE no more spoiler thread titles. Just put a post in a general TdeF thread - simples!
