Old TdF route cards

Post by NickJP »

Came across these interesting old TdF route cards on the website of the Bibliothèque nationale de France: https://gallica.bnf.fr/html/und/cartes/ ... -en-cartes.

They made them pretty tough in those days - for example, the shortest stage of the 1913 Tour was 323km, and that included climbs of the Col des Ares, Col de Buret, Col du Portet, and Col de Port. And the slightly longer preceding stage went over the Col d'Osquich, Col d'Aubisque, Col de Tortes, Col de Soulon, Col du Tourmalet, Col d'Aspin, and Col de Peyresourde.
