More Road CC I think.
It's the same the whole world over
It's the poor what gets the blame
It's the rich what gets the pleasure
Isn't it a blooming shame?

When I was a driving instructor, another instructor (in Ayrshire) had the exact same thing happen to him. It was on a country road, they'd passed the cyclist a couple of miles earlier, he had his head down, pushing hard, they pulled up at the side and then a couple of minutes later... WHACK!!! No Strava or 'pooters in them days, tho, r2! :)

I've done that.

Years ago, though. Not a learner driver. It was a bitterly cold day and I think I had my eyes closed against a biting wind.

Someone did it to me once whilst I was in my car waiting on a pedestrianised road as pedestrians were crossing in front of me. He went right over the roof and slid down the windscreen. Don't know who was more shocked, me or him.

I've never done that but I did collide with a car that braked harder than I could and a very kind lady got out, reassured me that she was a cyclist too and had the same jersey as me before checking I was okay and driving off. I felt such a twit

Is it usual for rearward facing cameras to be mounted in cars??

Just goes to show, idiots are idiots, mode of transport matters not. Typically though there's the usual anti-cyclist ranters epically failing to acknowledge the 2,000+ deaths and 20 odd thousand seriously injured every year caused by 'motorists' not to mention the near million uninsured/untaxed drivers out there

I've done that! I was waiting behind a car signalling left at the stop line set a little way back from the traffic lights. The lights changed and the car moved off and I started to follow pushing down fairly hard on the pedal to start moving. The car driver then did a completely unnecessary emergency stop, because there were children on the left turn he was about to take. The result was I went into the back of the car and fell off. The most worrying thing, I recall, was the slow reaction of the driver behind me even though vehicles were travelling very slowly.

Hi,
We've all done that, its only a matter of time and its self inflicted, only damage is to the rider / bike.

I haven't. I've done some stupid things in my time mind but not watching were I was going is fortunately not one of them. ;)

Hi,
So you've never walked into a door :?:
OK so not everone's done that.
I fell of a ladder once, don't intend to do that again.

At the time I had my head down (bike) bent the frame which I had to straighten to ride on it then fractured some there months later :(
I tend not to look down for long now.

I try hard as I get older but still managed to fall going between plastic barriers the other day.
I'm only human
