I've just finished uploading 69 features with pics about UK day rides to my new blog (link below). About half of the routes are in Yorkshire and there are 11 from Scotland. NB I wrote some of the features several years ago so some of the minor details may be out of date. Hope the site is of interest.

Thanks, Paul, that looks very interesting. Will need time to look more closely, but fascinated to find that it includes many of the roads and places I ride frequently, including some less than a mile from home.
Perhaps mjr could offer to contribute something on East Anglia?

Sorry about East Anglia - but it's a long way from where I live in Yorkshire! There is one ride on the site from the region, though, from Thorpeness:

"Posted in: Southern England"! The East is Southern like Yorkshire is Scotland...
This Sunday we're doing one of the Telegraph's five great countryside cycle routes, from King's Lynn to Snettisham http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/activ ... outes.html - anything we can do to interest you in some of the more interesting routes we have?

For East Anglia better would be "Potholes of East Anglia" rather than rides (at least for Norfolk around my riding area).

Go West, young man! There aren't so many of us to drive around the roads here

I saw a sticker on a car today which said:
- "I'm not drunk, I'm just avoiding the potholes!"
