Considering all the other topsy turvey news wherein those who disclose wrong doing are then viewed with intention to be prosecuted, has the cyclist yet been caught and interviewed under caution for 'stalking' the reported car driver!!

I didn't click on the link, but the word 'vigilante' in the title appears to imply that.

I did click on the link. The actual headline is below.

Mailonline wrote:Idiot motorist caught on camera using his mobile phone and laptop while wearing earphones by vigilante cyclist

It's a surprisingly balanced article considering the organ it's published in, and the commenters underneath don't seem to have gone off on their usual "road tax-rlj-pavement cycling-yogurt-knitting-beardie-weirdos" rants (though I must admit to not having read all 500-odd comments).

Surely a vigilante would have smashed in some lights or windows at the very least? What's vigilante about reminding someone that they are likely to kill someone if they carry on being a $£@#?

Quite (#2 :) ). It's the word used by the DM, not by me (nor anyone else on this forum).

Typical sloppy spelling - without the final e the word means observant.

According to the local Aberdeen news, the driver has been charged. Not sure with what offense.
