Ewenny rail bridge closed until June

The B4265 (Bridgend to St. Brides Major) is closed until June at the point where it goes over the railway. The bridge is being replaced. Alternative routes include the road through Ogmore by Sea, and the lane between Wick and Ewenny ( have a look at a good map).

Ahhh memories, my Aunt lived in Ogmore and often went down for a visit with the bike.....

Sometimes these road closures still leave provision for pedestrians and cyclists to cross, but the closure notice fails to mention it. Maybe worth checking?

I will check for a pedestrian access later this week, but the local paper said no. I don't think many pedestrians use this bridge, but it is popular with cyclists.
