New bike for commuting

Post by Lee1976uk »

Hi

My cycle to work scheme opens this week. I have a carrea subway at the moment. I am looking for a lighter bike but can handle cycle paths as well as roads. I will be fitting mudguards to it. I have been looking at cyclocross bikes. I have a budget of 600 and can only use it in shops that take halfords voucher. I know dales in Glasgow take them I live in Clydebank.

The cheapest Boardman CX bike is worth a look. Has the ability to fit mudguards anda rack if needed, and it's just within your budget at £599.99 with a Sora groupset and disk brakes:

Thanks treva

Saw its big brother at weekend and was impressed. But that was out price range. This is out of stock at local shop but am sure they could order it in.
