Not content with getting in the way of motorists we're now delaying rail passengers.

Is that an example of an integrated transport network?

Possibly safer than cycling on London's roads, as he was in a highly regulated and safety conscious environment

You say "we" but I don't recognise anybody in the picture. "We" do ourselves no favours if "we" stereotype ourselves. Put another way, there's little I can do as a cyclist to prevent delinquent behaviour like trespassing on the railway, no matter what mode of transport is used.

My "we" was used with ironical intent: I was imagining an anti-cyclist Telegraph reader fuming "typical cyclist" even though most cyclists clearly wouldn't venture onto a railway line.

The first cyclist on a railway line for about thirty years.
When was the most recent car in a cycle lane?

Tomorrow’s Daily Bellylaugh photo will be of a car parked across a cycle lane. They will have gone to BirminghamCyclists.com for the photo.

Don't have to go far back to find a motoring equivalent:

The 40-year-old woman travelled hundreds of yards along the Metro line before her vehicle broke down as a train approached

Swings and roundabouts - on the plus side the miscreant was identified as being a "rogue" cyclists, i.e. a cyclist who wasn't acting like a normal cyclist, thus it wasn't tarring us all with the same brush (even if some readers will). But on the other hand, he was neither cycling nor playing golf despite having the kit for both, yet he was identified as a cyclist not a golfer.
