Yes, +1, hope for a speedy recovery.

So how many professional and ex-pro cyclists need to be knocked down before politicians stop blaming rider inexperience and we get some RoadJustice and space4cycling?

The current pro's they'll probably blame for 'furious cycling'.

When Wiggo was knocked over there were endless people saying "he shouldn't be training on the roads" ... "That's what velodromes are for". Beggars belief.

I've had the same whilst out jogging ("You should be on the track"). Also get it when we do local races as a martial from irate drivers who are held up for a few seconds whilst buying the Mail on Sunday.

At 83, I can't see anybody suggesting that Brian Robinson was training.

Just how many people could train on a velodrome at one time? How many are there? Maybe the argument is that they shouldn't be driving to work, they should be cycling!

Especially when he was just on a casual journey to meet some friends, if memory serves.

Best wishes for a full recovery

Best wishes seconded.

(A pity that someone quoted in the report seemed to suggest either that only men ride bikes, or alternatively that drivers should only be careful not to hit men - but that could be a misquote, the press are not generally very reliable.)
