I transcribed it off a folded out packet which previously contained Gitanes cigarettes which was shown to me in 1992 by a chap at Peugeot Citroen SA who knew a bloke who’s brother-in-law had a friend who worked at the Peugeot museum in Sochaux.

If I let you see it, I will have to kill you.

First you'd have to find me ;)
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

87.42miles yesterday, but only 8,406ft = 96.2ft per mile.

Must try harder.

Damn and bollox.
I have just been informed of a change in workplace which will reduce my commute distance.
26 miles down to 18.
I will have to ride some ‘evening extenders’.

The typical number of working days for an employee is round 220 days per year. At 18miles per commute this is approximately 10.8 miles/day averaged over 365 days. Obviously lower than what you expected, but still above 10.
My average is only a mere 8.5miles/day for 2014, but I still think Mick's idea of a target is a good one whatever that target might be.

No miles over the weekend. Marshalled at an Audax.

Average down below 24 now at 23.9

Clee to heaven Audax on Saturday though, which should get me back over 24.

Back up to 24.2.
‘Clee to heaven’ 120 km Audax on Saturday. Gentle ride on Sunday. Commute Monday and yesterday. Club 10 TT last night. Commute this morning.
My legs are shot. Equivalent FTP of only 230 last night, but daily average up to 24.2

My 26 mile commute raises my daily average by 0.008 miles/day.

If I miss days commuting, I will have to do some evening or weekend mileage.

Three weeks lazing about in Europe with only one cycle ride has dented my average a little.

Need to get some big rides in (or start commuting).

Currently sitting at 11.5 miles per day so still way ahead of last year at least! :)

We've been away on a cruise this last week. Lots of walking ashore, but no cycling.
Mind you, I never used the lifts and only used the stairs. Getting on an off the ship we went down to Deck 2, and our cabin was on Deck 9.
Eighteen (sometimes more) steps per deck. :D

Earlier this year I saw this thread and struck me as a great idea so I aimed for the 10 miles per day. And most of the year I managed to stay ahead of the target. And I'm now on 14.1 miles per day. And as we get well through the year it gets harder to "move" the average, so my personal target has now switched to 5000 miles a year. And I'm on-target except we are nearing the end of the fine weather to I expect that, being a fair weather recreational cyclist, more days will become non-cycling days as rain & winds start to become more frequent - so it is probably going to be close.

Hi,
I am hovering at 12.8 a day and this late in year upping that will be difficult.
Averaging 111 miles a week but still averaging 80% of max heart rate (max 185) for the whole year, and this keeps me fit enough at the moment, so I will not worry at actual milage.
