My best route so far

Post by romaninsh »

I'm cycling around Letchworth, Stevenage, Baldock (solo with gadgets) and I think this is the best route I've planned so far.

https://www.komoot.de/tour/7415303

I completed it within 2.5h (http://cyclemeter.com/48e739a94e634655/ ... 60325-1031), I invite others on this forum to give it a try and post their time. Route includes stop in Ardaley for a quick meal.

Welcome to the forum! :D

30miles with only 1,300ft of climbing sounds quite flat to me.
I have a 30mile circuit with 3,000ft of climbing, and it takes me about 2.5hrs too.

Can't. Too far away. The time here is 18.06. :)

Post that route, Mick, seems interesting!

BTW - by "Best" I actually thought it was a really pretty route, not it terms of speed/performance. I'll work on getting time down to 2 hours.

The total ascent isn't quite correct on that link.
Here's the profile of one of my faster rides. I call the route my "Favourite" and I do it clockwise or anticlockwise.

Have you checked out Stevenage and North Herts CTC rides?

Some of the best riding around that part of the world is between Baldock and Buntingford via villages like Ugley and Nasty (I kid you not!)
