Cats ears

Anyone using Cats ears to improve hearing?
Do they keep your ears a bit warmer?

We don't have a cat.
That said, have you tried removing a cat's ears?
Even if you promise you'll return them after the ride, they tend to be a bit reluctant to lend them.

I'm using cats whiskers to improve my judgment of narrow gaps. They keep my face warm as well. And I pick up the funkiest radio!

True story (honest): I was friends with 3 notorious brothers when I was a kid. They would pull the whiskers off their cat and use it to 'cheese-wire' off their warts.

Here's the website: http://www.cat-ears.com/index.html

The ear cover version looks better to me than the Elvis sideburn.

So they're intended to reduce wind noise from helmet straps by creating a fluffy layer of turbulence (ok, I'm guessing) rather than a hard layer. If it works, sounds like it has many applications! Does it actually keep your ears warm though?

yes, but you can't always see where you are going (if you use the whole cat)

Hi,
I wear ear phones most of the time.................... :?

BUT when I didn't last time I noticed....well forgot that you do get a lot of wind rush without them and I remember for years how I tilted my head to hear round corners down lanes.

I am not starting an argument on ear phone wearers,

Any device will impede hearing............mmmmm.......the cat might impede eyes too :)

Sensible head on.
Take one cheap Buff* cut into two tubes use one as a sweat band/ear cover, the other resides in a pocket for when during the ride the one being worn gets sweaty and wet, rotate as and when needed :)
I find the the halves much more comfy and less bulky under a helmet when I wear one.

*£5 for the unbranded variety that are just the same as the original,BTW where does Mr Buff get £15 for a tube of material from? :?

Mr Buff gets it from the people who buy them. I get real Mr Buffs from the roadside for free and if buying one I find ALDI or LIDL do just as well.
