Even more worrying is the number of thumbs down to the "quite sensible" comments to this newspaper article - maybe one person?? The man had presumably been advised by the doctor not to ride on busy :? roads because he may have an epileptic fit. He didn't have a fit, so that is irrelevant.
"Sgt Parry told the Coroner ..... He added that Ashford was driving perfectly normally." Perfectly normally!! What's that? :? Wasn't the cyclist riding "perfectly normally" also?

I hope CTC can follow this up.

Very, very sad! Just when you think things might be improving. How can you have so called 'support' for cycling, and then get something like this. Things are going backwards, rather than forwards. Presumed liability anybody?

There's a similar comment on the CTC page, but you misunderstand what presumed liability is, have a look

It's about civil law and who compensates who for their losses, it has nothing to do with criminal proceedings or coroner's courts. The lorry driver will have liability for this under the current system, his insurers will cover the claim, that makes not one jot of difference to this sad story.

PH, yup, do understand about presumed liability. Just so sad at this sort of story still happening, clutching at straws!
