Taking detours on a day ride taught me about perspective

Post by Farawayvisions »

Regular Sunday morning routes can get boring, you've been there, seen it all and don't even have to think. Add in a few detours and things are altogether different. There was even an escape.

Hi,
The gate padlocks.

All you had to do was remove one of the cable ties and lift out the metal stop its attached to.
Then slide it all left, go through gate and replace the metal stop and on your way........................

Not very secure anyway if people can wander in from the other direction by accident

Yesterday, I met a guy who told me how he'd ended up in the same place. In his version of events, the fence was 12 feet high and he nearly lost his manly bits. I told him about the suggested method of opening the gate, but he doesn't think it can be opened in the manner suggested either, because the padlock furthest to the right is secured to a separate section.
He's going back to check (under cover of darkness)

Hi,
I looked for a while then realised that the contraption enables several keys to be used on one lock.

Your mates suggestion that the far right padlock is separate is possible but there does not look like there is enough room with what I can see.
So the far right padlock is a master key and you need one key for another padlock too. so why not one key one padlock for all users.

I think it works as I suggested but all the padlock are redundant as two segments are held with plastic cable ties.

Half those padlocks would break with a stout screwdriver and a stone, the brass ones break easy.
I am not suggesting at all just talking from experience when I have lost my key.

Edited -
Just one of those thing where any lock has a desired effect of keeping most out, then you climb over anyway, we've all done that :)
