Simplest thing to do is hide your location.

I dont use it but there is a way of preventing this...old news.

a) if your social media ride app allows it - many don't
b) if you know and remember to switch it on - how many do?

I think that's why the problem arrives. As far as I know you can't do it from an app. You have to be using a web browser to access all your settings.

I've alerted some people I follow, as you can even see where the bike shed is in relation to the house. They've done diddley squat about it though.
