He sounds like the sort of driver with a sense of entitlement.

Hi,
And he will regain his car licence june 2016......................................

But I am assuming that at 68 (after 10 year ban) he would not be able to drive HGV's again....................

He can still kill again with his car so why ban just for 12 months...........

I've only ever lost my licence temporarily whilst they make a decision, so I don't know how it works if you're banned. Perhaps they're obliged to set a date by which the decision must be reviewed.

This is not a criticism, but I'm genuinely interested to know what the legality involved is in what you say? What is the offence? (Just wondering if I put the correct 'O' level grades down in my last job app?).

Depends on the job. The offence might be something like "attempt to deceive". I'm sure TC would know.

A related question about bin trucks. Here in Germany it is apparently legal for binmen to hop onto the steps on the back of the truck and take a ride. One often sees this.

Seems to me it is so dangerous, common sense forbids it even if it is not forbidden by law. Is it allowed in Britain?

In Germany cycling while leading a dog is allowed. Seems to me, common sense forbids that too.

Mind, leading a pig or a horse while cycling is not allowed.

Hi,
UK is strict on this, no chance bin men would do this at all.
Mind you it might be a good idea based on the fact that where I live the bin lorry paces the bin men even if they are too old to keep up :?
