How long before "failure to wave" while being approached by a HGV will be in the list of contributory negligences alongside lack of hi-viz and helmet.

Well, forget random arm-waving: conduct the opening bars of the slow movement of Haydn's Surprise Symphony. That'll make all other road users sit up and take notice!
