Hi All
Doing up an old frame for my teenage daughter.
She's adamant she wants flats but the frame was designed / dimensioned for drops
She wants to sit more upright which makes me think about a taller quill stem (head tube is 22.2mm so no availability issues)
The alternative is a stem adapter and adjustable stem bracket but im concerned that this approach will give height with
additional forwards placement which Im trying to avoid
Equally I dont want it to look silly with yards of stem above the headset - you know teenagers and style.
What does the panel think please ? and why is your suggestion the right one ?
MTIA

just to close the thread ....
We went for a quil stem with an adjuster that gave height without additional reach
this kind of thing;
Daughter seems fine on it
