Re: drop out adjuster screws seized
Locating Plus Gas is proving very difficult I found one place in Loughborough - Uniparts Automotive.
They had some yesterday but I couldn't get there and now that I can they have sold out.
Looks like an internet order and start the soaking in 10 days time.

Cheers Mig - they've got some it now comes in an aerosol can.
I'll get some liquid when I can probably from the internet?
Now picked up the aerosol can from Shepshed.
Much appreciated.

The screw won't budge.
They are seized.
The screws don't look bent to me.
The cross heads have rounded out.

Re: drop out adjuster screws seized
suggestion; could you use a junior hacksaw to cut a slot for a flat blade screwdriver?

Re: drop out adjuster screws seized
They are quite soft so they could well be slightly bent.
The heads of the screws are very small. I think I may need a miniature model making saw?
If I ever get these out are the stainless steel replacements any good?

Get some proper heat on the bit sticking out of the back first.Use a gas stove, gas pen, gas cooker ring and get it realy hot!You will be surprised how much heat you will get into it (Which will transfer along the screw)without surrounding damage. You use foil to protect paint.
