I have a hammer, vice, superglue and the bit that has broken off, can anyone see a problem?-

Yep!
You'll never know if you don't try it.
Re: Is this repairable?
The lengths manufacturers go to get chains to accommodate wider blocks is getting ridiculous

I'd say no. But you could break off the corresponding piece on the other rivet, then cut a pair of new slots , bend it all straight and use it with a narrower chain. I'm sure that would be ok.

I am pretty sure that a power link will not last past a hundred yards.
That chain is for something a bit more powerful.

Looks like a 520 chain. On a big single perchance? How are your crankcases....

I think there's a bit missing too. The bit that fits in the groove. Maybe a bit of fusewire will do as a replacement?
Re: Is this repairable?
Straighten it out weld the broken bit back on and get it in a lathe. Job done. Good for another million miles

I think bad chainline could be an issue here
Re: Is this repairable?
I always thought 12 speed would bring problems...
Trying to retain enough fitness to grow old disgracefully... That hasn't changed!
Re: Is this repairable?
Yes - you need a Birmingham screwdriver.
At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840
Re: Is this repairable?
This is the CTC not the MZRC ! ( in both myself, though do more miles with 2 legs than 2 stroke!)

Give that man a prize!
It took this lump out(A sprocket guard/cover retaining bolt boss ironically)I have a matching hole in the crankcase now.
I`d be interested to know what a metallurgist thinks of this.
