Campag lever pull ratios etc
Campag lever pull ratios etc
Any one know if the very latest Ergos, the ones with the droopy ear type of shift paddle, match the slightly earlier, ie pre 2015 10 speed mechs?
Re: Campag lever pull ratios etc
I probably don't know the answer but I definitely don't understand the question.
Do you mean for brakes or gears or both?
cheers

Re: Campag lever pull ratios etc
As far as I know, it is only the 11 speed stuff that has changed recently.
I should coco.
Re: Campag lever pull ratios etc
I asked a somewhat similar question on here not long ago, and was assured that cable pull has not changed on Campag 10 speed levers. I subsequently bought some new levers - like this:
I use these in the approved Shimergo fashion with Shimano changers and 8 speed cassette. Works perfectly - as the previous Campag 10 speed ergos had done. I much prefer the 'droopy-ear type' shift paddle to the previous design.

I was calling those in the pic the old ones. I think.
Mine are like this

Suspect they are all the same

Re: Campag lever pull ratios etc
Hmm. Yours is a better picture, and I must say my levers (which I've been using today for their longest ride so far) do seem just like those in your pic - i.e. a bit more low-slung than in my picture, and therefore ergonomically (!) better than the previous version. Anyway, the advice I was given, that the cable pull had not changed, does seem to be true.

Re: Campag lever pull ratios etc
No changes have been made to 10s compatibilities in MY2015, so 2015 10s levers will work with any 10s Campagnolo RD, though in general we advise it's better for longevity and feel to use them in conjunction with Centaur / Veloce / Mirage / Xenon made post 2009, as these RDs have / had a return spring of reduced strength, better suited to the Escape / Powershift mechanism.
