Sorry for being dim but I can't work out how you've attached the original light bracket. Is there an L-shaped piece that isn't showing up in the photo?

Would a 35mm film case (plastic) be of some use to a DIY solution?

Sorry Lollykat,

I was taking photos in the dark in the garage. You are right, there is a small L bracket that the light moumt is bolted to, that is then bolted to the aluminium strip that is fixed to the rack. Hopefully this photo is a bit clearer.
