Does titainium mark plastic?

The thing is, my bottle cages don't have a texture.
They're utterly shiny and smooth, not like the Ti bike frame you showed. This is why I considered them coated in something.

I need a microscope!

all surfaces have a texture; like you say you might need a microscope to see it.
