700x35 on Mavic Open Pro rims? Loaded tour safety..

Hi,
I'm thinking of going for Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tyres and I am tempted by the 700x35 version.

This will be for my loaded tourer.

Is there any danger in using 700x35 or 700x32 Supremes on Open pro rims in reality?
I know max recommended tyre width is 28mm and this is written on the rim. Is this a bit too conservative?

I'm afraid of tyre coming off due to high pressure/heavy weight and a catastrophic accident as a result!

Any advice appreciated..

ps:
Mavic site reads:
• ETRTO compatible size: 571 x 15c
• ETRTO compatible size: 622 x 15c
• Recommended nipple length: 12 mm
• Recommended rim tape: 571 x 18 x 0.6
• Recommended rim tape: 622 x 16 x 0.6
• Recommended tire widths: 19 to 28 mm
• Valve hole diameter: 6.5 mm

There's enough variation in tyre sizes that *claim* to be 700x28C that the manufacturer would be crazy to give the "real" cut-off in the specs. If they are happy to guarantee it on 28mm I'd be amazed if 32 pushes the limits...

Also, Sheldon Brown lists his maximum (again, probably a conservative one) for ETRTO 15mm rims (like the Open Pro) at 32mm.

Hope that helps.

700x32 almost surely looks safe enough then albeit a bit at the margin.

But again we are talking about 4 panniers, total bike+rider weight of 120kg (~90lbs). I will be using the tyres at their max rec. pressure I imagine.

I'm not sure 700x32 Marathon-supreme on Open Pro setup will be up to the job and more importantly safe under load.. (The rims are the 36h version)

Anyone out there using 700x32s on open pros for heavy loads?

Weight aside, surely narrow high-pressure tyres put more strain on a rim than wider, softer ones?

However, 120kg does seem like quite a bit of weight for long distances on light racing rims, (although 36 is plenty of spokes). Hmm. :?

Maybe someone with comparable experience can weigh in?

Wouldn't a wide tire on a narrow rim be more prone to pinch punctures?
What's the possibilty of the tire rolling off the rim?

I have been using this bike for occasional shopping trips with panniers loaded to the weight limit! No problems and wheels are still true (handbuilt with ultegra hubs).

I always had the 700x28 standard marathons on them so far. I feel when fully laden, 28s are just fat enough not to get pinch flats.
Now the 28 Marathons have to be moved to another bike which is in desperate need of tyres soon. Hence the contemplation for a comfier tyre alternative for the tourer.

Obviously I won't be touring laden around the world with the open pro rims and a thicker rim is out of question for several reasons at the moment.

I run 32mm tyres on Mavic CXP22's (same width as Open Pro's) on my cyclocross bike with no problems, and I weigh more than 120kg!

I'm over 100kg. I've toured laden with 700x32 on Open Pros and my CX bike has 38s. I'd happily use much larger. I've used 2.1" 29er tyres on Mavic rims of the same width. If I was in your shoes, I wouldn't think twice about it.
