what are these off of?
Slightly curved one-piece blocks obviously from centre-pull brakes. What brakes would they be that has intergrated stud into the block with no separate shoe?
Re: what are these off of?
Could be any brake where both sides of the arm are curved, but the metal parts look like Dia Compe to me....http://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage/454594-univega-gran-turismo-i-d.html
....but I think the pads are after-market stuff?

Re: what are these off of?
Lots of cheapo early V brakes and cantilevers used these. There are similarities to Shimano Brat-50's in the attachment of the blocks to the arms.

At the last count:- Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X3, Raleigh 20 stowaway, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840

Thanks Gents. I'll put them in the froing for gee section section.
Re: what are these off of?
they look a lot like the bolts and curved washers from Dia Compe 981s

except the nuts on the back are different. This means they are from a 981 copy or similar (there are quite a few brakes -including some cheap V brakes- that use a convex front and concave rear, which is what I think these washers are for).
The brake blocks look like shimano ones, eg those supplied with Altus CT91 look a bit like that.
cheers

Hi,
Make of the grey plastic what you will.
Edited Sun 29th - Did'nt bother looking yesterday...................stops the brake shoe mounting post slipping off when adjusting position on the rim, probably holds position too.
Plastic horseshoe and circular wire ring.
