Exal Rims

Post by iainb »

Hi folks

Nidderdale cycles are offering a couple of different types of Exal rims on ebay for what seems to be a too good to be true price of 15 quid inc post, does anyone have any experience of these please. I'm only wanting to build a pair of wheels for light use, not touring etc.

Thanks and regards

I have some XR2 rims I've used for a few years. No problems at all. Exal stands for Ex Alesa and was formed by ex employees - or so I read some time ago.

It has already come up.

I had a look through what was on offer and all the rims were nearly but not quite what I wanted.
Watch out for non-eyeletted and strange drilling patterns (9x4).
