Deore T661 derailleur with bar ends...

Post by Rabbit »

Does anyone know if the Deore T661 9 speed rear mech will work with bar end shifters? I think it should but not 100% sure! Thanks - David.

If it is a regular mech that springs back to the smallest sprocket when cable tension is released, it will work well. The lever must be the right "speed" for the sprockets (8/9, etc)

IIRC RD-T661 is an LX 'top normal' rear mech. It should work fine with any 9s shimano shifter (except one meant for 'low normal' mechs where it'll work, but any gear indication will be in reverse order)...

cheers
