Hi,
Red jersey crashed and saddle was off before the rider hit the ground, very spectacular

Saddle stem looks very thin and fragile.................

See the spare bikes being carried by M/cycle pasengers on their shoulders :?

Not many body parts available to dislodge a saddle like that
M Cyclists carried a spare bike until they got out of the monastery I think - no room for a car
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Contador's 'injury' well overexaggerated and his team (even the doctor) trying to make out he is some superhuman..give me a break (or not as it turned out).. he had a nasty cut and the tiniest of tiny 'fractures'. Just ride yer bike man and stop trying to make out your injury was anything but a flesh wound..jesus h.
Shame about the columbian but Froome gave it a good dig, just not quite enough and his TT busted him. Valverde, Rodrigez and the Astana rider made it interesting if not actually that close in terms of competition.

The final 10km TT was an insult though..digusting in fact and the final finish was nothing more than a crash waiting to happen especially after it rained, no wonder most of the top contenders just pootled round other than on the straight's.. :x

Froome just wasnt race fit until the last week. He did well to drag time back against valverde and contador in the last week, but the previous 2 weeks were a bit rubbish. Contador's injury seems to have been more of a problem because of infection post op rather than the fracture itself. They played a very good mind game with it, and it definitely paid off.

Haven't watched the final stage yet, but a 10k time trial at the end is really not going to give anyone the chance to make up anything other than a few seconds. Basically its pointless at that stage in the race. Should have been longer.

This seasons been a bit of a bust for Sky really!

Hi,
The Vuelta's hilly man.........sky riders are only human an Froomee is still a force, notice Froomee and Wiggo dont ride in same race's, but I suppose thats spreading the big riders across more ground and max exposure for sponsors.

Froomee and Wiggo nead to be on different teams to be interesting,

If Contador was riding for Sky his days would have been numbered, not because of the competition but the now forgotten 6 month ban for dud meat
Race suits a climber for sure.

Race organisers should have had a plan B for time trials and stop placing them round old buildings with narrow bumpy streets.
See the advert carpit on the finish was removed after a guy fell on it loosing his wheel..................

Wiggins will only be riding smaller races from now since he wants to do track riding in Rio 2016. He's said he would like to re-sign for Sky for that reason.

He has........................if I was sky and had wiggo & froomee then I would put them in different races.

I guess wiggo wants to go out on top.
Froome would beat him just on the tours :?:
No love lost there.................

As good as Wiggo is he's not on Froooomes level especially looking at the performance Frooooooooome put in on the Vuelta compared to Sir Brad on the Tour of Britain.

Hi,
Especially seeing that TOB is a mini Vuelta.
We should'nt knock em too much, If I think of the times I have been on top form in the last three years that would be maybe 2 - 3 times.
Even Cav is struggling though he was injured too, not sure he can beat Kitel (spelling :( )
I wonder whether Wiggo can deliver in 2016.......................

Well he's said he's going for the hour record in 2015..that'll give us an idea of how he might be going as an individual

Hi,
Boardman did have one hour records, but apart from Mercx has any other pro come close to holding it :?:

I remember one of (real bike not lotus) of Boardmans record attempts he was still tinkering with the wheels, as UCI said they had to be the same as Mercx, days before the attempt, and he only just took it.
