My fave BBC instant Punditry was a previous Winter Olympics, where one of their generic sports commentators opined that skating up a hill on XC skis was so much easier than "classic" striding... There spoke someone that's never tried it!

I don't mind P&P, but didn't miss them at the Commonwealth road races.
I think you'd have to look very, very hard to find folk significantly better than Gary Imlach, Chris Boardman and Ned Boulting. Ned's books are worth a read too.
