Wow! looks like fun, but the brakes left something to be desired.

Mick, I can't see the video at work, but assuming its the same one that I saw posted on another forum, there's a good view of the pass name (white on blue sign) within the first minute and you can Wikipedia it. I think it is in Switzerland.
My boyfriend (who is from Austria) rekons he isn't going that fast because the car that is filming him can keep up with him...

Mick, I think it is a bit further through than that (I'm at home now, but I can't get it to play on my computer)

It's fast enough! He does overtake a motorbike at one point (if it's the same one I've seen before) - perhaps the filming was also done from a motorbike?

That is truly bonkers! I'll bet all of his teeth had been shaken out by the time he got to the bottom. If the road surface is anything like here in Lancashire his eyeballs probably got shaken out too.
Good find.

According to my boyfriend, the road surfaces in the Alps are much better than here - so it is possible to go quite fast down the passes. He did over 100km/h on a bicycle down an Alpine descent once, hence his "that isn't that fast" comment...

A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
