Oban Cycles

Post by ndmbike »

Having turned my rear wheel into a beautiful pringle shape I managed to wobble 10 miles into Oban to see if I could arrange transport home as my trip (5 peaks) was sure to be over.

The first bike shop I tried was far too busy to help but the owner said to try Oban Cycles.

I did and was welcomed in and told they could probably fix it! An hour later having had a bit to eat in a café down the road I returned to see a true rim. However it had some very loose spokes and I wasn't willing to have another 'Near Death Experience' so I bought a new wheel at a sensible price. The trip was back on!

This is a great bike shop. Zoe and Bartosh (sorry about the spelling) are wonderful!
I do buy bits off the web and this forum, but I also try to spend in an LBS. Their prices matched the web and even better they were so friendly and didn't seem to mind my inane questions. 10/10! :D
