Riding in the Pyrenees - Boren to Montgarri

Post by Cheltourer »

Hello,
I am doing a tour in the Pyrenees in September with a fully laden touring bike and I am considering riding the valley of the Noguera from Boren to Montgarri, but I cannot find anything on the web detailing what this road is actually like. I would like to know what the conditions of this route are and if anyone has ridden this route before with a fully laden touring bike could they please advise. I have a ridgeback tourer and it is used to moderate off road surfaces.
Thanks for your help.

Nearest I've been is over the Bonaigua, but going by Bing maps (their aerial photos are better than Google's here), it looks like a goer.
Trees are a bit of a problem, but there are enough gaps to trace a reasonably good track right through. What photos there are in panoramio look OK too
