Google Maps Navigating Imported Route

Post by Mike777 »

Hi all

I have finally managed to import a route (kml) file into google maps I can see it there as a blue line

Really stuck on then navigating it from start to finish in terms of voice prompts

Any ideas on this as I just don't get it.

Thanks for your time

Regards

You just get your GPS to display it in an easy to see distinctive colour than you ride along keeping your position arrow on that line. You can leave a track on the screen in a different distinctive colour to make it more obvious.

The GPS will not tell you what to do but you can see where you should be going and if you leave your intended course. In which case you get yourself back on it.

Also the orientation of the map to direction of travel or north makes a big difference. You need to know which way your travelling along the track particularly if rejoining it.

Rather than use Google Maps, this might be a better option, voice navigation is on the Android app.
