Re: camping not so expensive
It looks quite expensive to me for what it is; the few that I've looked at seem to be around 5 euros per night plus a few euros extra for showers and even drinking water in some cases
Add to that the hassle of having to contact the owner in advance to see if they are available and arriving at a specific time; this system definitely won't be replacing ordinary campsites for me, at least in France where the camping municipal is often very good value. I also don't agree that "most camping sites are too expensive these days".

I agree, often only around €10 per night on a municipal site including decent showers and usually a free phone recharge from the office!

Only after April 14th and before ........
At other times they are often free to cyclists but without toilets, showers or electricity, often without water too.

And on one occasion, a free cup of coffee from the campsite supervisor at Bar-le-Duc on a particularly grey and rainy morning!
