The German Postbus system has just announced a swathe of new stuff, more destinations, international routes to Holland, Switzerland, Poland, Austria and express night services. Why mention this? well they all carry bikes and could be used to get you somewhere cheaply in Germany - the fares are much lower than rail travel.
