I did use my stive but came back thinking I could have got by without it.
A friend I cycled with did not have one.
If I go again, I probably won't take one.
If you like a coffee irvtea early or late when camping then take one.
I ate in restaurants or had tinned food or fruit.

I spent £16/ day over 65 days.
That included a $75 visa and most days at guesthouses or hostels.
If you camp mostly it will be a lot cheaper.
I took $2,000 USA cash plus a couple of visa cards.
But never used the cards.

Stephen Fabes has recently cycled the Pamirs. Here's a link to his latest blog. He's been on the road quite some time.

Great blog: Cycling the six.
I kept a diary but didn't write things up at the time.
Now, 2 months later, I find it hard to write in an entertaining way. Facts n figures are OK - but the banter on the orad is gone.
Next time I'll make more of an effort to write as I ride; so to speak.

Hello everybody,
Thanks for all information.
Does anybody cycle Pamir this summer?
I'll be there half July and whole August.
Best regards,
Puiu
