Caen - Mont Ventoux !

Post by hondated »

Have you ridden this and if you have could you give me an indication of how long it took , whether it was very hilly and whether the roads were very busy. Am I also correct in thinking that camp sites would be in abundance along the route. Thanks.

1. Yes,sort of, we finished at St Malo.
2. Ten days depending on daily distance.
3. It depends, not very hilly til you hit the Massif Central etc depending on route. Mont Ventoux is quite a bit hill.
4. Roads not busy at all, assuming you are avoiding the N roads and autoroutes.
5. Yes, camping never an issue for us in rural France.
