St Marlo to Nice

Post by subfusk »

Having recieved a copy of France en Velo for christmas I am considering doing the trip in late August/Sept. Having had problems with geting a bike back home in one piece and at a reasonable cost from the South of France on several occasions I intend using a modified P Type Brompton, which I have used for several long tours. As usual my trip will be solo, unsupported and camping wherever possible. Fortunatly I have the benifit of no time limit. Unfortunatly most guides tend to gloss over the difficulties so any advice on the route and campming facilities would be greatly appreciated.

I got this book recently but haven't had time to read it properly yet, however, I was thinking of riding down and getting the European BikeBus back.

Would that work for you?

Sounds feasble, I suppose the route could be varied to end at a pick point rather than go to nice and back track.
