Marrakech to the High Atlas - December (Parts 1 - 5)

Post by Farawayvisions »

Last month, my partner and I flew to Marrakech for an 18 day bikepacking trip to the High Atlas and beyond. First we had to find food, fuel and a tool to fix one bike. It was the beginning of a great adventure...

Goat brand meths - With goat extract for added flavour ??

Ah Morocco I never did conquer the unease ( fear even ) enough to go back . . . . . .

But I do like to read about it - as experienced by folk bolder than I.

Great blogs, as usual; the right amount of narrative to photos with lots of interest, making me jealous and wanting to get out there and start the adventures again! :D

(what is it about goats in trees?)

Episode 4 Highs and lows on the road to Aoulouz
There's a lot of time to think when you're on the bike. There are highs, lows and wash day blues

Very enjoyable blog!

I have done some "fully loaded" cycle touring and ma now starting to move towards a bit of lighter weight bike packing. I am very impressed with how well you pack your kit into such a little space! Your kit list seems very comparable to mine and yet I seem to have far more bulk to load!

Clanton
I find it's easier to pack lighter in warmer weather. The biggest/bulkiest item I have is a down sleeping bag.
