Yes i know it.

Little is the word.

Oiled up my top squeezing myself and the brommie through the semi blocked door.

Nice chap runs it - well worth checking it out.

Army surplus shops were common when i was a kid - pretty rare these days.

Reuse, recycle, thus do your bit to save the planet.... Get stuff at auctions, Dump, Charity Shops, Facebook Marketplace, Ebay, Car Boots. Choose an Old House, and a Banger ..... And cycle as often as you can......

£ shop ones are like that, I think this may be a bit better. It sounds like the one I have with the poppers. I am happy with that. I will have look at one tomorrow.

Ah the old selling-up scam - tempt them in for a £3 poncho then hit them with the £10 pants :)

All the best nevertheless.

Well, I went into Millets, looked at the £3 Ponchos and bought two. We are off to Cyprus doing a bit of walking next week and these Ponchos will be fine if we have some light rain. The material is rather like the old Pakamac, dark green, quite light and fairly durable, important for doing a bit of walking, and would be just great for wild cycle camping. They are better than the really thin pound shop ones, which are sort of single use throw away jobs, but not as thick as my tropical one I got from Costa Rica years ago. (Frequent heavy rain there)

Pound shop Poncho 50g
Millets £3 Poncho 350g
Costa Rican tropical Poncho 550g

Take your pick Sweep!

Army surplus store - We have this physical store in Burton on Trent,
but they also do on line.
I've no affiliation or link with them but some of their prices seem pretty good to me

Well I still haven't got one but in giving it some more thought came across this:

It's the lightweight Dutch army one I need - must get round to finding a reputable supplier.

Very neat set up this guy has - am impressed by the multiple bungee use though am ultra wary of his use of them on a frequently used exit - trust he doesn't take an eye out
