Orux and IGN France

Postby John in Leeds » Fri Apr 25, 2014 10:24 am

Wonder if anyone here can help me please?

I use the excellent Orux maps with online mapping from OS and the IGN in Spain at 25000. Can anyone explain how to add IGN France to the mapsource file. Since it is available free from here for example it should be possible.

I have asked Orux themselves but suspect they have been given a hard word for pointing to free to use systems :(

I don't know about the maps you're looking to use but I use openadromaps.org/en for maps which work well with oruxmaps. You have to download a mapsforge style But they're good maps and free too ^_^

If you're stuck on anything inparticular let me know and I'll try to help! :) I spent months trying to arrange decent maps for orux on my galaxy S4 so feel the need to share the find since it's so free and compared to other options very easy to set up and use!
