Very quick googling - just check the length of Scotland from the TV version compared to the actual BBC website map.

But the BBC weather map is the view from London. What do you expect? Accuracy?

I just want a map that has the ability to show that the weather might be different in different places but can't as the slant means those places look 5 miles apart!

Anyway, I'm going to stop moaning about it...

Go here - beautiful, a closed single track road up through Glen Strathfarrar.

About 20 miles or so each way upto Loch Monar, accessed from Struy on the A831.

A little bit North of Inverness.

I go here quite a bit when home from sea & need to get away from the brood.

It might not be a corner but it's a nice end.

All the best Simon

Some photos from the trip here: http://www.khain.net/photos-northern-scotland-west-coast/

Unfortunately they don't fit in the post. Is there a way to resize images?

I use

https://imageresizer.codeplex.com/releases/view/30247

Once installed you right click on a pic file and get a choice of sizes to change it to.
