Cycle-touring, Expeditions, Adventures, Major cycle routes NOT LeJoG (see other special board)

Dont know if this infortmation is of use to anyone, but today I reserved my bike on a Eurostar train going Paris to London.
They told me that they can store the bike up to 2 weeks before i leave, and once in London, can store it for a further 2 weeks.
For me, it means i dont have the problem of finding a bike friendly hotel in Paris.

Other cyclists might in a similar situation using Eurostar, so id thought id pass on the info....

Thanks for your information. I'm just wondering HOW you booked your bike with Eurodespatch. I have phoned them countless times and emailed them twice without success. I need to book my fully assembled bike onto the London-Paris train in July, and back from Avignon to London a week later but am hitting a brick wall. Gordon Lewis

Might be a bit optimistic for avignon; the eurodespatch arrangement only works between London paris lille and brussels.
If they could take complete bikes on the train to Avignon UK cyclists would be all over it :) ... e-eurostar

A good place for information. I think you are right, Eurostar to Paris only. It's better now for an assembled bike but I still don't like the bike going separately even on the same train.

Try ringing rail europe (aka sncf) about an Avignon-London trip. They will sort you a through ticket, book the bike on the Avignon - Paris and then hold the booking while you ring eurostar to get the paris-london bike reservation.
