Birmingham -> Newcastle -> Norway & Sweden

I have 2 old Dawes Galaxys stored in Birmingham, Ebay orphans - the 25" I have serviced (fairly properly), the other 23" (?) seems "good to go" from my experienced eye. I'm planning to take one to Finland this May , both if a companion can be found - anyone interested?! It would be handy if I could get both bikes rolling...
It's just an idea at the moment: first to ride to Newcastle airport, 3 days riding, 1 rest day, 3 days riding (or 6 days on-the-trot) through Derbyshire & Yorkshire Dales, maximum 100km/day? Plane Newcastle to Norway (this is the tricky bit packing the bikes), somewhere like Kristiansund. Then across central Norway & Sweden to Umea for the ferry to Vaasa where my car should be awaiting into which bikes can be chucked for the 160km trip home.
I'm 52 years old, British (Scottish genes!), male. Middle-aged & unfit, heh! I walk up all hills!
I did a similar trip last September, 3.5 days cycling across England, 3 days along Denmark's western coast, 1 day in southern Norway - no mechanical problems but noticed 2 spokes snapped back wheel at final destination (old wheels, brittle spokes).
